Kababaihan ng Maynila Foundation
In December 1984, he also founded the “Kababaihan ng Maynila,” (The Women of Manila) a women’s livelihood organization. This organization’s primary goal was to uplift the lives of the women and to bring them to receive God’s promise on the fullness of life.

Kababaihan ng Maynila Foundation has made Lito Atienza appreciate the value of volunteerism.  Because of all the contributions of the KnM projects and teachings to the members especially in livelihood and personality betterment, they were more than thankful and were ready to help Atienza in all his endeavors.

Kababaihan ng Maynila in action: Clean-up Drives, Livelihood Trainings are just few of what these empowered women do best. KnM became a venue for strengthening the women sector yet preserving their gentle roles as mothers, wives, friends and God’s servants. KnM will be celebrating their 24 years of establishment come December 2008.

News started spreading on the benefits of this organization has been giving.  Others started noticing that the members were not just empowered, they were also better individuals, doing everything for the greater Glory of God.

Kababaihan ng Maynila grew its membership that even then President Corazon Aquino joined and took her oath of membership.

Since its establishment, women from all over Manila, making Mama Mary their role model, were working voluntarily and tirelessly for God’s glory, elevating lives of Manileños and empowering women in acting their roles in the society.
