Pro-life Project
Lito Atienza is a devout Roman Catholic and President of Pro-Life Philippines. He and his wife Beng were sent to Rome in 1995 as official delegates and speaker (Lito) in the Pontifical Family Council for the Family. He was given a standing ovation for emphasizing that the Philippines is still the country with the highest percentage of citizenry who value life, family and the elderly.

A rally that says no to abortion, population control and legalization of divorce in the Philippines led by then Mayor, Sec. Lito Atienza and his wife Beng. Atienza takes a strong stand in encouraging everybody to be Pro-God, Pro-Life and Pro-Family.
Even under his administration in the City of Manila, he pursued programs that were “Pro-Life” and opposed any forms of campaign or programs that promoted contraception, abortion, or sex education programs. All City health centers did not promote “family planning” programs involving contraception.
During the second week of December 2006, Atienza, in his show of commitment to “Pro-Life,” terminated the Commander of the Manila Police District (MPD) detachment in Quiapo district for failing to rid the area of herbalists who are supposedly selling concoctions that induce abortion.
Under his Pro-Life campaigns. Rachel’s Support Group, a group of volunteers who have suffered post abortion syndrome, was launched. The group held counseling to women contemplating abortion and aimed at discouraging them from doing so. They presented to them different options other than not choosing LIFE. Thousands of women were given the right perspective and thousands of babies were saved. This group also built the “Tomb of the Unborn” where discovered aborted babies are given decent burial and prayers.
