“Mayor Alfredo Lim has no other choice but to resort to dirty tactics because his sinister plans have been exposed and he couldn’t explain why election returns containing PCOS machine numbers were being prepared at the City Hall.”

Thus said Ali Atienza, campaign manager of Mayor Lito Atienza, following reports that Lim’s camp have been blaming them for the proliferation of “red cards” carrying the pictures of Atienza and Bonjay and were intended to confuse voters regarding the place and number of their respective precincts.

Ali said this is again one of the dirty tactics of Dirty Harry meant to make the people angry at them, just like what Lim did during the 2007 elections.

“They’ve already done this to us before—they gave away cellphone cards with my picture to the media people. But the cellcards were empty, making me look bad. Now they’re doing it again,” the younger Atienza said.

Ali added that Lim should use common sense, saying that if they were indeed the ones behind the proliferation of the red cards, they wouldn’t bother placing the pictures of Atienza and Bonjay knowing that the people would get mad at them.

Ali suspects that nobody but Lim’s camp are behind all of these because they couldn’t explain why election results were being prepared at the EDP unit which is under the Office of the Mayor.

“They couldn’t explain the documents found in their office, that’s why they were fabricating issues against us. Why do they already have the election results and the numbers of PCOS machines that are not even delivered yet to the precincts? They should explain all of these,” Ali said.

Ali also called on Manilans and the media not to be swayed by the dirty tactics of Lim’s group.

“We’ve been expecting all of these because they also created a lot of scenarios in 2007 to provoke outrage among the people. I’m sure they will still come up with more foolish ideas, but I know Manilans are intelligent voters. I also trust the media. Lim can no longer fool the people now, they know him too well,” he said.

“Know their precinct numbers, vote early and don’t be fooled by Lim’s dirty tactics,” he advised Manilans.

Former Manila mayor Lito Atienza has vowed to continue his commitment in serving his beloved city and dearest Manilenos. The former mayor of Manila has decided to join the Manila elections to continue what he has done for the city and its residents after completing a full nine-year term. The only mayor of Manila who has served a full term, Atienza is seeking another three-year mandate as city mayor to achieve his dream of providing the Manilenos with a city that they can truly call their own and which they will care for. Atienza one of the most revered and respected leaders of the city, will be continuing his livelihood programs and effective delivery of other services which has benefited much of the city’s impoverished residents during his stint as city mayor.

Being a true statesman and a public servant, former Manila mayor Lito Atienza’s platform “Buhayin Nating Muli and Maynila” will prioritize the social welfare and development of Manila’s residents. One of the foremost priorities of the former mayor of Manila is to improve the local government’s delivery of basic social services. In light of this, Atienza has laid out a number of programs and flagship projects, all of which will benefit the poor residents of Manila. These programs and projects cover a wide array of social areas and includes programs for housing, healthcare, peace and order and education.

Under Atienza’s administration, Manila’s poor residents benefited from the former mayor’s housing and land for the landless projects. With the assistance of non-government organizations like Gawad Kalinga and Habitat For Humanity, thousands of houses were built in Baseco, a 50-hectare reclaimed area dedicated for the city’s housing programs. Atienza plans to continue the same massive housing projects in Manila’s impoverished sections including Isla Putting Bato, Parola 1 and 2, among other.Middle class families will also gain access to affordable housing programs to be launched by Atienza.

Health care services is also among the foremost concerns of former Manila Mayor Lito Atienza. Atienza has outlined his plans to increase the budget allocated for the procurement of medical equipment and medicine to improve the delivery of healthcare services. “Sama sa Masa”, a flagship project of Atienza wherein doctors conduct free medicines and checkups to every barangay of the city; will also be continued. Atienza will also provide Manila residents with free dental and eye care.

Improving the peace and order situation in the city is also a major concern of Atienza. Atienza believes that illegal drugs are the major culprit of crimes in the city. As an immediate solution and to lower down the city’s crime rates, Atienza has vowed to run after drug syndicates and criminals. Atienza looks forward to providing Manilenos with a peaceful environment wherein anyone can live without fear and unmindful of their safety.

Atienza has also put a premium on quality education which he believes is the key for poverty alleviation and upliftment of the lives of the impoverished. Atienza vowed to continue providing public school students with free education, school supplies and even school shoes.Manila’s public universities like Unibersidad de Manila and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila will undergo transformations to provide the city residents with an affordable and quality college education.Atienza also wants to bring back his non-formal education program wherein unemployed parents and out of school youth can complete their degree in a short time. Under Atienza’s flagship program called Alternative Education, high school students can have access to vocational and technical education which can help them in finding future employment. The handing out of scholarships and other subsidies to students will also be continued as part of the former mayor’s platform for education.

Former mayor of manila Lito Atienza has joined Manila elections to continue his dedication and commitment in uplifting the lives of the city’s residents. Atienza platform is centered on improving local government’s delivery of basic services as a way of addressing the poverty incidence in the city. Former Manila mayor Lito Atienza has pledged several programs for housing, peace and order and education, all of which will benefit the city’s poorest residents.

The Manila Elections has become more interesting and intriguing as a lot of political heavyweights have thrown their hats into the battle of becoming the all powerful Mayor of Manila. Among these political heavyweights who joined the mayoralty race for the city is former Mayor of Manila and DENR Secretary Lito Atienza and his Lito Atienza 2010 platform. Under his banner Lito Atienza 2010, the former Mayor of Manila is staging a comeback bid at the mayoralty seat after serving a full term as City Mayor and a brief stint as DENR secretary.

The former Mayor of Manila who holds the record as the only mayor who has served a full term, is one of the most well-loved leaders in the city’s rich political history. Atienza has years of experience in public service, political will, wisdom, leadership stature and proven and unblemished track record which makes him one of the expected frontrunners in this coming Manila Elections. His resume can speak volumes of achievements and countless completed projects that have benefited the city residents particularly those who are impoverished. His political career that has lasted for more than four decades now is a clear demonstration on how the former Mayor of Manila has lived his life as a statesman, serving selflessly for the people.

Lito Atienza began his political career started in 1968 as the leader of Democratic Youth Movement, (DEYMO) wherein he became one of those who survived the infamous Plaza Miranda bombing during the Liberal Party’s political rally in 1971. Since then, the former Mayor of Manila had been a staunch critic of the Marcos administration. When the country was under the Martial Law, Atienza was put under arrest for his role as the leader of Metro Manila Jeepney Drivers Organization, which was the first ever organization of Jeepney Drivers.Atienza fought against and exposed several cases of human abuse of the Marcos regime including the proposed abolition of jeepneys plying the avenues of Metro Manila as part of Imelda Marcos’ beautification drive.

Despite airing his discontent with the Marcos administration, Lito Atienza held the position as Barangay Captain for ten years after serving as a tanod before which enabled him to hear the voices of ordinary people more. The former Mayor of Manila was later employed as at the Information Office of Manila City Hall under former mayor Ramon Bagatsing and later resigned due to conflict of principles and his work. Atienza would later decide on embarking on a bold journey as he seek a Parliamentary seat despite having no financial support at all.Instead, Atienza depended heavily on his principles and support from his family and friends which were enough to win him a seat in the Parliament at that time.

His profession as a Parliamentary member of the Batasang Pambansa started in 1984, representing the then vast Congressional District of Manila which include the districts of Paco, Pandacan, San Andres Bukid, Sta. Ana, Santa Mesa. He was a known staunch ally of Sen. Ninoy Aquino and one of the opposition stalwarts who persuaded Cory Aquino to run for president. After Marcos was ousted during the People Power Revolution of 1986, the former Mayor of Manila was appointed to run the National Housing Authority where he promoted affordable housing for teachers and policemen. After a brief career at the NHA as General Manger, Atienza opted to join the 1988 mayoralty race of Manila where he lost to his then rival Mel Lopez who was supported by President Aquino.Despite the loss, his spirit and will to serve was never defeated as he would later run and win as Vice-Mayor in 1992 and 1995.

In 1998 Manila Elections, Lito Atienza finally made it to the mayoralty seat and history as the only Vice Mayor who got elected as city mayor. Atienza was noted for expressing his strong opposition in the reclamation of the city’s part of Roxas Boulevard/Manila Bay. The former Mayor of Manila was also able to change and has given a face-lift to much of entire city’s former tourist attractions along with the lives and welfare of the city folks.Atienza also spearheaded major projects which were aimed to benefit the poor, the older citizens, women and children.

After serving full term as Manila Mayor, Atienza was appointed as the DENR secretary under President Arroyo. As DENR secretary, Atienza started substantial effort to execute the ill- executed Clean Air Act.Atienza also focused on giving a new life to the country’s rivers and lakes, partnering with several environment groups including the Laguna Lake Development Authority and ABS-CBN Bantay Kalikasan. He has also gone after illegal logging operations in the countryside and has also ordered the closures of open dumpsites as part of his drive in protecting our country’s natural resources.

Former Mayor of Manila Lito Atienza’s unblemished political stint and achievements are clear testaments to his passion in being a public servant and being a true statesman. Atienza deserves to win the Manila Elections anew due to his outstanding achievements as a public servant and his vast experience and knowledge on being a true statesman who works for the greater good of people. Under his banner Lito Atienza 2010, Atienza hopes to continue his work for Manila’s folks.

When Lito Atienza said he would no longer be a member of the Cabinet in order to run for Manila Mayor in the upcoming elections, voters were certainly gifted with a great choice for the leader of the city. Lito Atienza is certainly a staple in Philippine politics and is gifted with a formidable family background. A lot of his kin are in themselves prominent members of the history of Philippine politics. Due to this, it could be rightfully proclaimed that LIto is truly the best choice for the post of Manila Mayor.

The father of Lito Atienza, Jose Atienza Sr, or Pepe was the top leader of the Department of Public Services. He was a distinguished public servant who would even get up in the middle of the night just to help troubled neighbors. His uncle, Herminigildo Atienza, was appointed Manila Mayor himself right after the liberation of the city. He was a very good mayor who was considered as one of the biggest influences in the founding of the legendary Liberal Party of Philippine politics.

Lito Atienza grew up amidst the ruins of the city of Manila, walked through the neighborhoods that was but a collection of debris and even swam on the waters of Manila Bay. He would be the perfect Manila Mayor because he grew up in the city in which he dreams to lead. He dreamt that he would eventually join Philippine politics, elevate the city of Manila into a greatness which will make the ashes of the war a mere afterthought. By gunning for the post of Manila mayor, he can now engage in his dream task of trying to place Manila back to the high status where it belongs.

Lito Atienza is certainly very qualified to become Manila Mayor. He had his primary and secondary education in Ateneo de Manila University and added a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas. Despite the fact that their family was monetarily rich, they were hardworking which enabled Lito to enter into the top schools. The Atienza family exhibited faithfulness and feared God properly. This mixed background of family values and fundamental religious aspects are certainly very important for the position of public servant in Philippine politics.

Definitely best qualification of Lito Atienza is his bespectacled good name. His father Pepe firmly believed that no wealth could ever match the reputation of the heritage of good name backed up with a good education. Lito also had numerous friends and mostly persevered in order to reach his goals. He would take manual labor jobs and even rode along classmates with cars without shame because he firmly believed in hard work as the bridge to our goals.

Lito Atienza would certainly add to his colored history in his participation in Philippine politics by running for mayor. By all accounts, being the Manila Mayor would be best for him and for the city of Manila given his heritage with the place. He lived not only his life here, but also lived with his family in the city which he envisions to prosper. If he wins, it will truly be for everyone’s benefit if we give him a chance to fulfill his dreams of the city for us.

When Lito Atienza announced his intention to run for the mayor position of the city of Manila, many applauded the move. There would be no other person perhaps who is more qualified for the position of Manila Mayor. Apart from coming from a distinguished family in the history of Philippine politics, Lito Atienza also has vast experience as a politician. He has a good clean name established through a reputation of irreproachable character of sincere public service.

The Manila Elections has turned into a more interesting and intriguing one as a lot of political heavyweights have thrown their hats into the battle of becoming the all powerful Mayor of Manila.Among these political heavyweights who joined the mayoralty battle for the city is former Mayor of Manila and DENR Secretary Lito Atienza and his Lito Atienza 2010 platform.Under his banner Lito Atienza 2010, the former Mayor of Manila is staging a comeback bid at the mayoralty seat after serving a full term as City Mayor and a brief stint as DENR secretary.

The former Mayor of Manila who holds the record as the only mayor who has served a full term, is one of the most well-cherished leaders in the city’s rich political history.Atienza boasts of having years of experience in public service, political will, wisdom, leadership stature and proven and unblemished track record which makes him one of the probable frontrunners in this coming Manila Elections. His resume consists of volumes of achievements and countless completed projects that have benefited the city residents particularly those who are impoverished. His political career spanning for more than four decades now is a clear indication on how the former Mayor of Manila has lived his life as a statesman, serving selflessly for the people.

Atienza’s early political career started in 1968 as the leader of Democratic Youth Movement, (DEYMO) wherein he became one of those who survived the infamous Plaza Miranda bombing during the Liberal Party’s political rally in 1971. Since then, the former Mayor of Manila had been a staunch detractor of the Marcos administration. When the country was in the Martial Law, Atienza was detained for his role as the leader of Metro Manila Jeepney Drivers Organization, which was the first ever organization of Jeepney Drivers. Atienza fought against and uncovered several human abuses of the Marcos regime including the proposed eradication of jeepneys plying the avenues of Metro Manila as part of Imelda Marcos’ beautification drive.

Despite voicing out his dissatisfaction with the Marcos administration, Atienza held the position as Barangay Captain for ten years after serving as a tanod before which enabled him to hear the voices of ordinary people more. The former Mayor of Manila was later employed as at the Information Office of Manila City Hall under former mayor Ramon Bagatsing and later resigned due to conflict of principles and his work. Atienza would later decide on embarking on a bold journey as he seek a Parliamentary seat despite having no financial support at all.Instead, Atienza banked on his principles and support from his family and friends which were enough to win him a seat in the Parliament at that time.

His tenure as a Parliamentary member of the Batasang Pambansa started in 1984, representing the then vast Congressional District of Manila which include the districts of Paco, Pandacan, San Andres Bukid, Sta. Ana, Santa Mesa.He was a known staunch ally of Sen. Ninoy Aquino and one of the opposition stalwarts who persuaded Cory Aquino to run for president. After Marcos was repulsed during the People Power Revolution of 1986, the former Mayor of Manila agreed to lead the National Housing Authority where he promoted affordable housing for teachers and policemen.

In 1998 Manila Elections, Atienza finally broke into the mayoralty seat and successfully created history as the only Vice Mayor who got elected as city mayor.Atienza was noted for expressing his strong opposition in the reclamation of the city’s part of Roxas Boulevard/Manila Bay. The former Mayor of Manila was also able to transform and beautify much of entire city’s former tourist attractions along with the lives and welfare of the city folks. Atienza also devised major projects which were aimed to benefit the poor, the older citizens, women and children.

After completing a full term as Manila Mayor, Atienza would later serve as the DENR secretary under President Arroyo. As DENR secretary, Atienza started massive effort to execute the ill- executed Clean Air Act. Atienza also focused on giving a new life to the country’s rivers and lakes, partnering with several environment groups including the Laguna Lake Development Authority and ABS-CBN Bantay Kalikasan. He has also ran after illegal logging operations in the countryside and has also ordered the closures of open dumpsites as part of his drive in protecting our country’s natural resources.

The Manila Elections is vital since the winner would hold power to the nation’s capital. Former Mayor of Manila Lito Atienza deserves to win another term as city mayor due to his outstanding achievements as a public servant and his vast experience and knowledge on being a true statesman who works for the greater good of people. Under his Lito Atienza 2010 banner, Atienza is the most competent and well-loved leaders of the city which makes him a formidable mayoralty bet.

In the approaching Manila elections, a prospect with supreme pro life advocacy has indicated his desire to lead Manila to a new beginning. Lito Atienza for Manila mayor is a motto which represents a suitable chapter to the vast history of Manila. His base in Philippine politics is a soaring one, and this he shares with his family background. In the upcoming Manila elections, it would be hard to go against this man.

Lito Atienza is a devout Roman Catholic, who is also President of Pro-Life Philippines. Together with his spouse, this candidate for the Manila elections gained international prominence in Rome as an official delegate in the Pontifical Council for the Family. He was afforded a standing ovation for accentuating that the Philippines has the highest percentage of citizenry who values life, family and the elderly. Lito Atienza for Manila mayor means pro-life in our society.

Even during his former incumbency in Philippine politics in the City of Manila, he opposed all forms of contraception or abortion or sex education programs. Lito Atienza for Manila mayor would signify an administration that will be absolutely pro-life from top to bottom. We should vote for this man during the Manila elections if we oppose abortion or those who are contrary to natural conception. The state of Philippine politics would for certain need a religious drawing card who has values such as him.

To bolster the Lito Atienza for Manila mayor certification, he conceived Rachel’s Support Group, a group of volunteers who suffered post abortion syndrome. This group of this astonishing nominee for the Manila elections held counseling to women contemplating abortion and aimed at discouraging them from doing so. Because of his efforts in Philipine politics, thousands of women were given the right perspective and thousands of babies were saved. These are merely few of the grounds why Lito Atienza for Manila mayor should be a battle cry.

Lito Atienza for sure belongs to the old guard of Philippine politics. But he dwells in the dependable slope of this vein of the political universe. He has a firm educational backdrop, with kin who are responsible public servants like himself. Apart from this, he has the core values of pro-life rationales which establishes him a virtuously upright potential mayor.

Come ballot day, these achievements of Lito Atienza are placed at the forefront of our consciousness. We have a possible mayor who is pro-life, who is socially conscious, and who is helpful. We have a potential mayor who grew up in the city, and whose most expansive aspiration is to make it great. If you are a member of the electorate of the City of Manila, the most legitimate matter is to go for this man.

This coming Manila elections, we should have a battle cry for the electorate members of the city of Manila. Lito Atienza for Manila Mayor. This is the best motto because the man is certainly prolife, religious, humble, has a strong educational background and is really intent to elevate the city. Moreover, he comes from a distinguished family who are constan public servants in Philippine politics.
